2006 AWD Vide with Premium sound system: Missing Sub??

My options sheet shows: "premium 7 speaker system amplified, includes an integrated rear subwoofer"I see a speaker in the back passenger side with a grill with monsoon on it. Is that the sub? The compartment next to it is empty with a power connector thing hanging there. Did I get my sub?I bought the car in oct 2006 and didn't check that.Also, is there a link to the specs of the speakers / amp / hu (basic one with no mp3, no satellite radio, no nav. basic.) so I can think of what to upgrade without changing the amp or anything except the HU really.Thanks.

I do not have that system myself but have seen it on others...I'm sure they will chime in soon

If you've got Moon and Tunes or Sun and Sound (whatever it's called on your year model), then there should definitely be a 6" sub in the cargo area on the passenger side wall behind that grill. Based on the time frame, you purchased your Vibe new, correct? If you're going with an aftermarket head unit it though, it won't really matter. I'm pretty sure there's no way to use the factory Moon and Tunes/Sun and Sound sub with an aftermarket unit. Somebody here will know for sure.

Actually the M&T amp can be hooked up to an aftermarket HU, and it works quite well (however I do feel the subwoofer doesn't work quite as hard) http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=19021In my case I hooked right into it with my JVC KD-AVX2, but others have used the Scosche FAI-3A to bring the HU speaker outputs down to a line level that the M&T amp can use.Diane
