do you mean replace the hood with a new one with a scoop already molded into it... or do you mean buy a hood scoop and stick it on the hood?If the first is your answer.. no the two hoods are different..If the second is your answer.... to that i would say... Y IN GODS name LOL

Thats harsh! Personally, I think that if you want to put on a scoop, do it. Personalizing you're car is exactly that. It wouldn't be personalized if you only did what other people told you was cool.

Exactly. Plus you can make a stick on scoop functional.

harsh? no, that's just reality. take celtic curse. people gave him crap about his hoodscoop. it was FUNCTIONAL and seeing it in person, looks great! i just don't understand why people take a great vehicle and then stick on hood scoops, side vents and pretend dual exhaust! these are my PERSONAL favorites:

I just want to add a hood scoop for the look and here in canada a fonctionnal one is not a good thing in winter. If i ever put one it will have to look good, not some thing that will ruine my car's look. Who really need a fonctionnal hood scoop on a stock engine, that's my dailly driver and just want it to look good. If i really have $$ to spend for power i will spend it on my CORVETTE. I always did what i wanted for me not for the others. Those who have a rear wing is it fonctionnal ?

I can think of a few members who have installed stick on hood scoops that look good:celtic cursefreestylemcgustotheirs looked nice and made a statement without looking like they just pulled it out of a bag from walmart and slapped it on.

Ok, I think this off-topic discussion has run on long enough. The question was what hood scoops would work on the car, not whether it should be done.Let's keep the replies on-topic and flame free, OK?

criticism is not flaming... this is a public forum. people will post their OPINIONS, even if it disagrees with yours. however, since people are ASKING about hood scoops (and if you think this was flaming, then take a look at poor ivan's thread!):celtic_curse: Celica carbon fiber hood scoop http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11325freestyle: WRX hood scoop (can't find any pics of his car - it was hot!)mcgusto: ?? not sure what he used, but based it off the Vibe GTR http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...40576subtle, yet turned out awesome! There are also a few hoods out there with built in hood scoops like the SLP hood, RK Sport (if they make it still) and the CFB Vader hood that Merzbow has been sporting (and imo, is one of the best looking out there).

Look real good, but a bit too radical for my taste. With something like that you can't keep a stock engine, it look to mean to leave it stock. It's a non sense having a mean looking car and having only 130 horses. But for a supercharge big horsepower cars it will be the perfect choice.

Neither one of those fit the car at all. The last one is really meant for a shaker and the top one..0.o. If you want agressive why not get a bodykit? If its a hoodscoop you lust, put it on the vette. :D

They might look better if painted to match your hood... but I'm not feeling it.

I just put them on the hood to see what they were looking on the car. and yes it will be moved down.
