more fun with intake

Post by manicdan »

ok so its been a few weeks since i put in my weapon R intake and sofar the bracket is holding just fine. however for the past week or so ive noticed a strange problem thats identical to my last one (where if the intake was being shaken it would stall the engine)now randomly as im driving i feel such a huge hessitation as if i completly let go of the gas pedal, i usually fix that problem by just pressing a bit harder and it seems to give me back the lost tourqe within a second or so. but it also does it while im siting at stop lights. the rpm gauge would just drop from 1k to about 5-600 and idle roughly and recover back or stall.so now i really know theres a problem with the air sensor. any recomendations? replace with stock one or go with aftermarket? or how would i even get an aftermarket i dont knowthis is pissing me off and im open to any sugestions, besides the hammers, that did work either

Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? If the WeaponR has an oiled filter this could be the problem. Usually you'll get the CEL coming on though.

Hey Manicdan,I use plastic safe "contact cleaner".Try cleaning your MAF sensor, disconnect your battery first.See if that helps any.Let it do an idle relearn and test it out to see if it still hesitates.
