the tweel is still a cool conceptI have hit objects in the road causing a blowout, and have been able to limp out of the travel lanes on the flat tire. Something like the tweel though, if you hit something hard enough to break it, will the whole thing collapse, as if there was no wheel at all? a neat visual effect though, almost like the car is floating.
The tweel is currently being tested on earthmover equipment and military applications. It should be very sturdy and will not break apart, since it is expected to be able to run over land mines and still function. How the tweel tire will look for automobiles is still up for discussion but I too look forward to this new technology on my Vibe
They'll make the aftermarket Tyres look cool for every car except the Vibe. Just like every other aftermarket product that ignores us Vibe-rators.

i think it would be perfect in places w/ a lot of potholes or pedestrians who think the world should stop because they don't wanna wait for you to pass before they cross the road.the cops are gonna be pissed when criminals steal/drive cars with these on em instead of regular tires. spike strips won't be able to do anything

it definitely looks interesting. if nothing else, it seems like the idea could be integrated into traditional tires to improve the functionality of or lower the cost of run-flats.
The Tweel has been around for awhile, a few years now at least, type it into youtube and you will see demo videos. One thing is for sure, people will def. be keeping their wheel wells a lot cleaner.
