Simple Question... (hopefully)

Post by VIBEwithanO »

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this question or whether it belongs in the warranty thread. If I am in err, I apologize.I'm looking to paint my interior trim (it looks so stinking good when it's done right). My friend is a professional model painter, and he's going to help me get the finish right and such. I'll be taking plenty of pictures along the way for your viewing pleasure. My question is this: will doing so do anything to the warranty (I paid for it, don't want to void it so soon)? If anyone has any ideas or input, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

No; painting the trim won't void your warranty as it shouldn't affect the performance of any of the interior features. The radio bezel, left and right door panels, left A/C vent and center console sections remove with very little effort and with only minor disconnects.Lots of folks here have done this mod (yours truly included...check out my Garage) and haven't had any issues. In fact, when I had my window fixed, my service rep asked me about the trim...I was surprise he even noticed.

Thanks, Zuben! I actually saw the pictures of your trim paint yesterday. It was one of the paint jobs that helped me decide to go through with it. Paint shopping is tomorrow, so we'll see what happens.
