Anyone own/have experience with 3rd gen Altima's?

My SS is starting to rack up some miles on it now (just hit 90,000 ) so I need to start thinking about a good daily driver car and was wondering if any of you have owned or had experience with the 3rd gen 3.5 Altima's or the SE-R? I like the looks of the SE-R but I dont want to get into a used car that I dont know much about. I know the 2.5's had engine fires but I dont know it the 3.5 did too?

the 2.5's had problem with the cat conv breaking up and getting sucked into the engine during decelleration. The 3.5 is fine. They also have brake rotor issues.
