New Vibe owner's introduction and a thank you!

Post by thinkdontpray »

Well, after driving my grandpa's 1990 Oldsmobile for the past few years I finally have something to call my own. Tommorow I shall join the family with a 2007 Platinum Vibe. It was a long time coming and I have to say thanks to a tonne of you guys for your posts, information and opinions. Because I play in a band and play numerous shows, I needed something big enough to load some gear but not big enough to guzzle the gas and after debating on a Blazer/Jimmy, I decided to forget that noise and go with the Vibe. I look forward to sharing pictures and getting to know my fellow Vibe brethren. Kevin

Also, anyone with a 2007, how is the stock soundsystem? I didnt really crank it up during my test drive but it seemed to perform pretty well. I am going to be tossing in some JBL's and a nice sub soon enough. But I am curious.

If it has the package, the system is not bad. it is not the greatest but it is good for a stock system.
Bye Bye Vibe.............

No, the Moons and Tunes package is only a US deal, so this just has the stock 4 speaker system. I mean, I didnt really buy the thing to cruise the streets pumping bass out of the thing, just wondering if anyone had 2 cents to throw in. Like I said, I'll be working some of my audiophile magic soon enough.

Welcome! the stock (4 speaker) sound system performs quite nicely for a stock stereo but it wouldnt hurt to go aftermarket

Meeting? Oh? In Toronto? Well, if I am not camping in Algonquin or on the road with the band, I will surely be there.

Welcome and congrats!!!!! VIBE is PERFECT for musicians! What do you play? My hon's a bass player and when he saw how much cargo space we had in the Vibes, he was like 'wow.....' Can't wait to see pics of your Platinum! By the way, we have the 6CD Monsoon system in both Vibes...love it.

So, I picked up my Vibe about an hour ago and drove it to work for the first time. Man, was it a nice ride, stereo was enjoyable and the feeling of having my own new car was something else. Now I have to work till midnight until I get to see my baby again. But then I plan on taking it out for a little night spin. Thanks again for the warm welcome.
