Alright I have gone all over the search and cant find anything on it. Does anyone know if the Matrix outside mirror are the same as ours? Basically can i take a Matrix mirror and put it on to where all the bolts and body lines match up?
Pretty much what i want to do is add the blinker to the side mirrors. I know the are smaller, but i dont really want to use the stick on arrows that i have seen. i was thinking about putting a led behind the mirror and have the whole assemblie light up when i have to use the blinker. im just not sure what i want to do yet.
fyi though, cheap side mirrors shake at well like any speed above 10mph. so on the hwy it will be hard to see what type of headlight (if you find cops that way) or may bug your eyes. I had some cheap ones on my last car and I would of rather had oem ones so they didnt shake, it drove me nuts. You could take apart or buy a 2nd set of mirrors and then take them apart and add led's to them if you want.
I had some similar to that on my Xtreme, and while I loved the way they looked, they were pretty much useless b/c of the size. You couldn't see crap out of them, but I had no problems with vibrations, just size. I'm not sure if Matrix mirrors are the same, but if you get them be sure to let us know, that would definitely make some more things available to us!

Quote, originally posted by northvibe »could of been just my mirrors, cuz they were folding ones, the vibe doesnt have that so maybe they wont shake. I think someone on MO got these.....I think they are the ones Glove (matrixman_vvtli) had done, but his are CF if I recall correctly. The ones I had on my Xtreme were not folding, BTW, so maybe it is the folding ones that had the vibration problems.

I did see them on someones matrix and that is why i am so interested. the viewing size does bother me much and just like northvibe said about his being folding why they were shaking. But i am going to check to see how much it is to get them painted before i buy them. but if i do i will definitely take pics and let everyone know.
I hope they fit, I was looking at pics of them on the vibe vs trix and its the same window line going from the back to front and the triangle that the mirrors were in looked pretty much the same... So hopefully they do because then thats one more aftermarket piece for the vibe!I looked on MO last night or was going to but it was down i think.
Well i have decided not to get them. If i had a black vibe then i would. But i would have to get them painted and everyone around here is asking $75 a piece to paint
You could get Duplicolor in spray can and do it yourself.

I had mirrors similar to those for my Civic. They cam in 3 pieces so they rattled bad. I did the following.Got paint from Paintscratch.com to match my car perfectly, sprayed each of the 3 parts per mirror separately. Then put in the screws and epoxied each piece together to make it super strong. once installed they were great, but your visibility is greatly reduced. I stopped used my mirrors altogether and just turned to look. They looked great, but you lose a lot, not worth the $$$ to me. Just drill some tiny holes into your mirror in the front or get a dremel and cut out a section and add an LED strip.
