Driving on the other side of the world

Post by Katscan »

Wow, what can I say. Well first of all I SOOOOOOOOOO miss my Vibe I miss babying the crap out of it....ok yea so I have issues BUT! I digress...back on topic.Driving in Japan is something different indeed. The Japanese as a whole are very curtious individuals.....when they are NOT in their car...on the road...to me....it seems different. Any road rules you may know right now, various driving curtisies...yea throw them out the window cause they will do you absolutly no good out here. The Japanese seem to find inventive ways to squeeze their already tiny cars through tiny cracks in traffic to get where they are going. I get a feeling that right turn signal traffic lights are outlawed here cause I have yet to see one and there always seems to be a long line of cars wanting to turn right. Ontop of that, traffic lights seem to be more of a hinderence to the Japanese cause even when they light turns red you will see a couple of cars still run through the intersection. Im guessing thats why there is a 2 second delay from when the light turns red till the other light turns green. I also wonder what the Police do here in Japan I mean I hardly see them, they are like ghosts. I was used to seeing multiple police cars throughout my time driving on the road to......seeing one once....every....few weeks and they drive around with their police lights on....yea FREAKED the crap out of me when one pulled up behind me. I pulled over thinking I did something wrong. NOPE, he was just on dutty Im not sure why but the Japanese seem to have a thing agains just simply pulling into a parking spot......its a rare site to see a car with its nose facing the line everyone backs into the parking stalls. They are starting to rub off on me cause I find myself doing that now. Well thats enough rambling for now, Ill find more stuff to gabber about later.

dude, we're just asleep when you're online!!!!!hahahaaanyways, i know what you mean about the whole traffic thing out there. its crowded. with people crossing the street and text messaging AND with cars.but what i had to get used to was driving on the otherside of the road. i posted this somewhere earlier, but when i first got there, i was riding in a bus, and looked out the window, and this car is passing on the right, and the passenger (which i thought was the driver) has her head against the window sleeping. i did a double take and thought holy crap, that cars passing us and the driver's asleep at the wheel!!!!. then i realized i had to get used to seeing thatkeep us postedja mata
