Lucid Dreaming....

Any one ever heard or looked into this? I find it incredibly interesting. It shows alot of the human minds power.For those of you that don't know, it's as simple as realizing you are dreaming, while you are dreaming. It is stressed that it is not the same thing as dream control, but more of just knoing it's a dream, and therefor seeing it in more detail and remembering more about it.It just facinates me, and wondered if any one else has tried to get into it, or can do it (they say some people know they are dreaming while dreaming all the time, and just think it's normal).I am not a "new age" kinda person, and not big into this kinda thing, usually, but for some reason, this struck my fancy.

I don't remember most of my dreams and have only been able to "control" a few.

That's the best part, is I don't need or want to control them, I just want to realize it's a dream, to enjoy it more.For example, If I am dreaming about being a racecar driver, I want to realize it's a dream, so I can drive the car how I want, so I can really "feel" how fast it is... things like that. I guess it's just amazing at how powerful the human mind is. They say it's more active and crative while sleeping in REM than when awake.Plus, if a person realizes they are dream, and do get to the point they can or want to control it.... you could do ANYTHING you want. Fly, swim at the bottom of the ocean..... have a 6000000HP Vibe, anything, lol. It's just a cool thought.

eh... it's slow at work hahaSorry to point this out but you're contradicting yourself by saying you don't want to control them then saying you want to drive the racecar how YOU want to The ones I seem to be able to control, sortof, are more like movies (i.e. flying, sword fighting, etc) and ones about family or more normal stuff just seem to run their course...

I have been on Shamanic Journey's induced by drumming. It is similar to lucid dreaming but you can control what happens. Very cool! Yes, I am a old, new age kinda guy.

I do it all the time, often realise I am dreaming and then bending the laws of reality to the point I wake up. I can fly, be who ever I want to be, drive what ever I want to drive. make things just appear. its a lot of fun.

Wow, I didn't realize this was such a "normal" thing. I stumbled upon a website that talked about it, and made it sound to be this awsome thing that few people know about.I have had dreams before that I realized I was dreaming, but I usually wake up right then. This site talked about how to do "reality" checks and stuff, and when you relize it's a dream, how to "remain calm, so you don't get to excited and wake up".... But I guess it must not be that big of a deal if every one knows about it and eveything, lol.I am always last in line on these things

I thought "realizing when you're dreaming" was kinda common knowledge...I think few people are realin INTO it and can control what they dream about and stuff like that but most people just try to get some sleep haha

i've been able to control a couple. the only one i remember is the one that i started walking around inapropriately touching every woman i saw, because i knew i could. it rocked.

(removed) at Drunken....It is all very facinating. The paralysis, Lucid sleeping, dream control, Journeying.... it's all cool. Maybe it's just cool cause I can't do it, lol. I guess I will just have to try harder.
