Corolla Transmission fit in vibe.....

Hi..... as many many people I have seen on the forum.... I have an 03 vibe that the transmission went out, I was going to just rebuild my transmission but it just isn't possible its just to badly damaged..... I know that the Corolla is quite simular, but that is the 03 and up models I believe.... what about the 01 models.... I have found several but I'm unsure.... I have looked around for quite some time and it seems the engine is the same

there's a 5 speed from a 2004 corolla in my 2003 vibe.I do not know if there were any changes between the 2001 and the 03 versions. If you have a local junkyard that is worth much, they should have resources that will identify the cross year / cross model compatibility of various parts. The problem might be convincing them to look it up for you.

if you go on car-parts.com you get acess to junkyards across the country type in the part you need and if a part is a direct replacement the yards will sell all years that fit

yeah it doesn't.... only the 03 - 07 corolla trans will fit..... I ended up finding an 03... the 01 is just different... period... different bolts
