Rock Auto Cruise Control

Post by KNINE »

Well, I've been wanting to do this since August, so I finally ordered the cruise control lever/switch from Rock Auto to install in my '06 Vibe. The funny thing is, that's how I found genvibe. I did a search on Vibe cruise control and came upon genvibe as a source. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to cut a clean hole in my steering wheel yet, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I'll let you know how it turns out. Wish me luck.

Funny thing is mine came with it. I rarely use it even on long trips. I guess Florida roads are just too congested for it to be safe.

Well it is the same here in virginia. I hardly use mine because i live in hampton roads, but k-nine lives in suffolk so he would probably use his more often.

I plan on making a trip up to the Pittsburgh area this summer to see my new niece, so I want to have it installed before I leave. I do allot of highway driving back and forth to work every day, so I know it will come in handy.

I just received my cruise control swith. I went to the "how to" thread and all the pictures were gone! The instructions are pretty good, so i don't think it will be a problem. Could somebody post a picture of where their cc switch enters the steering wheel shell, so I can get an idea of where to cut the hole? I would appreciate it. I hope to do the install this weekend. I'm also going to install my new Infinity front door speakers. It's going to be a good weekend for the Vibe.

I installed my cruise control this weekend. It was so easy a K-NINE could do it! If anybody is considering doing this to their car, I highly recommend it. It only took about an hour to do. Sorry O2CSNOW, I was going to invite you out to help me with it, but like a kid at Christmas, I couldn't wait to install it!
