Smokers' Package

Post by jake75 »

I bought my 2003 Vibe in Jan. 03. No "Smoker's Package" on the sticker. For the first time yesterday I pulled out the"plug" covering that cig lighter outlet and lo and behold it is a functioning cigarette lighter. Might come in handy for other reasons sometime.

We ALL have that 12 Volt Receptacle. What most of us DON'T have is the Cigarette Lighter Heating Element. Hence "The Plug" that you see over the receptacle. An Ash Tray that, I believe, goes into one of the cup holders is also included in the Smoker's Package.

Everyone has the 12V outlet in the dash, it's just a matter of if it has the cigarette lighter "plug" or the rubber stopper thing. Personally I would rather have the rubber stopper thing, but since I have the smoker's package, I have the lighter.

I know.. I have said it before... but I will check tonight about getting the rubber stopper off. If I can I will send it to someone (or throw it in the air, and whoever can catch it wins) I will be working in the garage for other thigns tonight, and I can take 5 minutes to run over and check it. I just have to remember

I believe you can go to most automotive stores, Such as pep boys (canadian tire up here) and buy a 12v cigarette lighter plug. I'm sure its no more than a few bucks.
