What's up everyone. though I don't have much time to scroll through the other posts and throw in my $.02 I figured I would write a short one quick while my girl was getting ready. First off I keep looking at the clock going, wow its late back home. haha, but besides that the time change has not really bothered me too much. Our flight out from Newark was cancelled Saturday morning, we got put on priority standby #'s 2 and 3 on the first flight to Chicago. We were supposed to go to Dallas then to SF but the plane was apparently damaged by the huge hail and tornadoes they had the other day. So luck on our side we got on the flight to Chicago. We pleaded with the woman at the desk (who was a *****) that we didn't car where she sent us, as long as it was off the East Coast. They got slammed with wind and rain and tons of flights were cancelled and delayed the next day. After getting to Chicago we go right up to another counter, this woman was super nice. She even offered to put us up for the night if we got stuck, but my gf has a cousin who lives in Chicago lower side near Sears Tower. So we would have been fine. After telling this woman our sob story she told us to pay attention. She hands us tickets and points out or flight, time, gate, and seats. She goes "Have a great vacation" and we were shocked and amazed but happy nonetheless. We got onto the 6:40 flight out of Chicago, got into SF at just before 9pm. (6:40 Chicage time, 9pm Pacific). The seats were incredible, we were on a 76t7 huge plane!!) and got to sit in the seats the Stewardesses get on overseas flights. Therefore we had this private area with a curtain, seats that folded completely flat, leg extensiona dn footrests, lumbar support as well, lol! Something I felt we deserved after the ordeal we had that day. BTW our luggage arrived in SF before we did!Moving along. We have been roaming around, spent some time at the wharf area on sunday and wandered through Ghiradrelli Square, kinda lax day, but we did find the Mrs. Doubtfire house, lol. Monday (yesterday), we got up and drove out to Napa Valley and hit some really awesome wineries. Bought a bunch of bottles for friends and family back home and had lunch at one place while we corked a fresh bottle. 73 degrees, and sunny, couldnt have asked for a more relaxing day. We went to Michele Schlumberger, Rochioli, Belvedere, Pallascqua, and one other that I cannot remember. But they were all good. the drive up was amazing as well, all the hills and stuff. We grabbed dinner at Biondi (sp?) soup in a big sourgdough bread bowl, yum yum. Then back to Ghirardelli for some ice cream. Today we will be all over the wharf area, trolley's, Alcatraz at 11am, etc. And tomorrow we go to Saulsalito (sp?). It should be an awesome week coming, I'll throw up plenty of pics when we get back, Later!!
