Get my Vibe in 2 days...I cant frickin wait

Post by b16er »

Hey whats up guys, I will be part of the gang in 2 more days. I ordered a Frosty 5 speed with the power package and 16s. I could have had the Silver one yesterday but I figured if I am paying off the car for 5 years I want the exact color and package that my heart desires. I already ordered a TRD shift knob for it because DAMN that stock chunk of rubber sucks! Peace guys.

Welcome to the gang I remember waiting for my Vibe. I worked at the dealership at the time and my desk had full view of the driveway the car carriers rolled in on. I watched every truck. Whats funny is the truck with mine had an identical Vibe for another dealership on it. So at first I didn't know which one was mine.

Holy crap I have never felt so welcome in a forum in my life! I will DEFINITELY be posting pics. This is my first brand new car and I am extremely excited. Last night I only slept for about 4 hours because I was told there was a chance I would get the car today, but then found out I dont get it until tomorrow So another sleepless night ahead. My planned mods are the TRD shift knob, a good CAI, someone recommend one please, 5 window tint, Eibach ProKit springs and some 17" Konig Helium bronze wheels with 225/40 tires. The CAI and tint and knob are right away, the wheels and suspension are within a year. Wicked forums, I cant seem to get the search engine to work right though. Anything I type to search gets no results. Hmm. Anyway looking forward to long nights of reading and learning on here. Peace guys! PS My b16a Civic is sold, its my downpayment on this Vibe. But I thought I would let its memory live on in my name. Haha.

I kept hearing "it could be here by the end of the week, no...they had that storm in the Pacific...no...it's still at the dock in California..." it makes you more anxious, but trust me...you will have the biggest grin when you finally DO get it...and you will baby this car... We're all excited with you...can't wait to see those pics!!

9am tomorrow morning I got to sign and finalize and take it home. I asked for no dealer decal but they said they have to put it on and I said fine but I am removing it right there in the parking lot. Irritating. You would think they would want to keep the customer happy.

Haha thanks man. I love this car! I have managed to drive 300kms in a day, trying to get it up to about 1000kms and then I am going to give it a synthetic oil change and keep it that way from then on. Its hard driving it so slowly but I want it to break in properly. No revs over about 3200rpm. HARD.

Oh yeah, I have a 3 month old son and he loves it too. My wife also loves it ALOT, I had a 1990 Civic hatch with a b16a before, and loading a baby seat into that was very difficult. This is like night and day compared to that vehicle. So much space and refinement! AND it fits a stroller easily in the back.

NO! very very bad for your car!!!!!! please don't. i hope you just meant you're going to do a semi-synthetic oil change at 1000 km. oh yes, congrats on the new car.

Ok so do a couple dino oil changes first hey? Ok I will do that then, and wait till 12000kms. THEN I go Mobil 1 from then on with changes every 5000miles, 8000kms.
