quote:Hey Cadillac! A 400 hp 5.7 litre V8! Rear wheel drive, MANUAL tranny. Lets hope they keep the price within reason. When I ordered the Vibe, I also checked what a base V-6 manual CTS would be and with my discount, it would have been about $27K. The sports package was another $3K. I know this new LS-6 powered CTS will be way out of my price range, but I can always dream.....

If they keep the price at around the level of a corvette it will be a bargain compared to the M5, XJR, S6, and AMG.

Didn't GM also announce a higher output V6 with DOHC and VVT technology for the CTS? From what i recall, the engine will be introduce at 3.5 liters and make 240hp. Seems they could easily move in on the foreign car market if GM could produce similar, if not better, DOHC engines with decent HP.
