headlight wire diagram?

anyone got one... its got three red wires one with a black strip(no power to that one)the other two have power when either the lowbeam is on or the highbeam is on... can anyone help me out?

Too bad your HID kit isn't plug-n-play, would be a lot easier. Anyhow, this information about wire colors applies to the Vibe, which uses dual-filament, H-4/9003, bulbs. Each of the stock wire connectors attached to the headlight bulbs should have 3-wires. 1) The solid "red" wire, from the right H/L, and one of the "red-white stripe" wires, from the left H/L receives 12V power from the head fuses in the underhood fuse block.2) The "red-black stripe" wire, from each H/L, leads to the dimmer relay which is the high-beam control.3) The "red-white stripe" wire, from right H/L, and the 2nd "red-white stripe" wire, from left H/L, leads to DRL module and controls low-beam function. Note, there are two "red-white stripe" wires coming from left H/L.I hope this helps you to figure out the correct wires. Is that gray relay the stock dimmer relay you're holding? If it is, it would have been easier to just "plug" the entire ballast-igniter-bulb harness between the stock headlight harness and bulb connector. That's how it's usually done on the Matrix. If your kit didn't come with plug-n-play connectors, you can make some by buying parts from suppliers online.If you need the Vibe headlight wiring diagram, post or PM your email address, and I will scan a copy from the Mitchell Service & Repair manual at the library.

TY TY TY... this is just what I needed...The hid kit is plug and play... the attached wires in the photo are from the hid kit... the problem was that the hid kit didn't come with instructions. There is only one way for the hid kit to connect so thats a no brainer. Now with the explination you have provided I can now hook up the lights and finish up the project...
