Throttle body bypass - other option, would this work?

I had an idea tonight while reading d_m_kolb’s post (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1104)I understand the reason for the throttle body bypass of the coolant hoses (removing the hot coolant), after reading d_m_kolb’s post, and considering temperature in relationship to air density, has anyone hooked up something like a PC processor liquid cooler system to the throttle body using the existing throttle body passages to force the cooling of the passing air? I would think that using something that is already colder than ambient temperature (i.e. like using expanding innate gas) the passing air would be colder and denser.Would this work?

The reason people do the bypass is that it costs almost nothing and the HP gain is close to nothing but worth the tiny expense. I do it to my truck every summer and will be doing the Vibe also. Hooking up a PC cooler would perhaps make a small gain in HP but not enough to justify the trouble and expense. I have never seen intake air temperature comparisons before and after TBB but the difference is probably quite small.

The hot coolant flowing thru the TB assembly prevents ice from forming on the back side of the butterfly (that would otherwise effect air flow if it formed). Air flows thru the TB too fast to pick up any (or very little) heat. As long as the vehicle is moving, IAT is virtually the same as ambient, according to my ScanGauge. To cool the intake air significantly below ambient temp would be quite a project and the extra weight of the system may offset any benefit.

Not sure if this is related, but my car run best between 35-47 degrees. I am using the ability to break loose tires on dry pavement, accelleration after grip, and seat of pants.I wonder if the wife would let me try pumping cold coolant through the TB? I am really wondering if it would add anything. has anyone mapped the passages yet or have a cut away pic?

Yea, I was wondering if that would happen too. But man that would be fun ride! I haven’t had a stuck throttle since I owned a 82 Cherokee Chief. That thing was such a steaming pile.
