Greetings From Japan!

Post by Katscan »

Wow, what a trip this has been so far! I arrived safely at Misawa Japan on the 7th of March and been spending my time trying to get a car, a place to live and inprocessing into the base. So far things are pretty cool out here, its a little cold but nothing too bad. I now own a little Mitsubishi Pajero Jr 4x4 and man is it small, however it does have 4 wheel drive to get me around during the snow season so that isnt too bad. I really do miss my Vibe and hope my folks are taking good care of her.The cars around here are small......and I dooo mean smallll. Its ricer heaven overhere. LOL I havent seen soo many erectorset spoilers in my entire life. They seem to like to slap those things on everything. One thing I can tell you is that they have a lot of cool car gagets that I wish they would sell in the US. Like a static discharger......yea no more getting zapped when I get out of the car! Just the other day I saw a Silver 2003 Vibe drive past, didnt have my camera though Then again I was driving at the time as well. When I get the time Ill be putting up some pics of my current mode of transportation.

I worked up on "The Hill" for 6 years (1987-93). Enjoy your time there. Sometimes I miss it, but I don't miss the snow. Make sure you visit as many places as possible. Take the Bullet Train to Tokyo. Go to Aomori. We went to Hachinohe a lot, escecially when they opened the McDonald's there. 45 minute drive, but when you haven't had McD's in a couple of years, the drive is worth it! Take some pics for us....I would like to see how much Misawa has changed. And I remember all the funky crap they have for cars over there. I used to say it was the land of the weird air fresheners. PS: Send me some yakisoba and cheese gyoza! Man, I miss that stuff. Check out this thread......http://www.blogd.com/archives/000263.html

lol they have a McD's in Misawa city now. Though I dont have any real wanting to go there, lol, I didnt come all the way to Japan to eat at McD's Ive been to Hachinoe and the Shimodo mall, that was crazy lol it was packed. Ive eaten at the Cheese Roll and everything was awsome! Also been to Vikings, which was good as well, the little hibachi grill place and the Ramen shop next door. When the weather starts to get nicer Ill be sure to go out and get some good pics for everyone.

I honestly dont know what its for, though I have a feeling its for when you park near the curb as its field of view is aimed mostly toward the ground next to the front fender.
