Replacing the shift console light??

Anyone have to replace this yet? The light for the automatic trans shift lever is burnt out. Does the entire center dash have to to come out to get at the bulb? http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5940

I just got off the phone from the local pontiac dealers parts dept. They don't even show a bulb for the shifter. Can anyone shed any light on the subject. Pun intended:)
