Ugly body kits, false badging, and bookshelf wings: This is about those we call "Ricers"

Post by Geo »

I find this hilarious, and I know some of you will as well ... and some of you might be offended (oh well ...) but for a jolly good time, check out this website: http://www.ricecop.comThis /is/ about other cars, but I wonder if anyone else has feelings of praise or distaste for all the "ricers" out there - would be nice to see pics and hear stories of the horrors people have seen on the road ;DAlso, if possible, keep all discussion civil, I already feel that a topic like this has the potential to explode into a flame war ... but hopefully this will be a fun discussion :DAnd yea, I am printing up tickets right now as I type, gonna have some fun with the rice boys ;D

If you want rice??? Please feel free to come to Weirton, West Virginia. I swear it's like Uncle Ben started a factory around here. Huge Japanese letters on Neons, Cavailers, and Sunfires. Wings that some jets would be jealous of. And plenty of chrome hubcaps to blind any onlookers.

Some of my personal favorite that I see around here are the Mini-vans that have been lowered, have chrome/gold 100+ spoke wheels, and huge banners saying who knows what (I don't speak Spanish or any Asian languages...). One of these, I have seen, had hydraulics ....Why? Why god WHY?!I almost threw a fit when a friend of mine wanted to take his '98 Mustang and put a Saleen Bodykit, wheels and BADGING on it. He'll still go with the body kit and wheels, but I think I convinced him to leave the badging off... it's like me buying a schwinn and putting a Moots sticker ... (for those that like Bikes) or taking a Honda Civic and putting a Ferrari sticker on it ... (which I have seen. it makes me wanna cry. ;_On a side note, it is fun to leave a little cup of Uncle Ben's minute rice on certain cars, oh the reactions ... ;D
