What is the difference between the Injen CAI for the 1zz engine and the 2zz engine? Is it where the air flow sensors attach to the intake? Is it the length of the intake pipe? If there are 2 different parts numbers, wouldn't there be a significant difference? The pictures on Injen's website are no help. They took a pic of the same car from 2 different angles and pass that off as pics of 2 different cars. Anybody know what the real differences are?

The throttle bodies of the two engines are different and are at different locations and angles. I assume the difference of CAIs is at the end where it attaches to the throttle body. But don't take my word for it. My car knowledge is merely adequate.
For the TRD intake, there were two main differences: 1) The connector (a big rubber elbow) that connects the throttle body to the intake and 2) a tiny vacuum connector plug used on the 2zz.

Thanks for the info, guys. This would seem to make sense.quote:But don't take my word for it. Most of us here would disagree with this characterization of your automotive knowledge and greatly appreciate your input. Some people take things the wrong way sometimes and others don't understand that you sometimes come across as a bit harsh by nature. Nonetheless, I still appreciate your presence on this site and the knowledge and insight that you share with us.

I was out for a while so I think I missed something somewhere... but I agree, everyone contributes from their own unique backgrounds and experiences, in their own unique ways. This is what helps make this a fun and exciting place. If we were all the same there wouldn't be any reason to visit because we would know in advance how the other person was going to respond!
