My 2006 Vibe computer died at 24,000 miles. The dealer cant get one. GM doesnt have one! Who ever it is who shippes them said they recently shipped 200 our and I was put on the next list at #275! Has anyone else heard of this problem?
The factory rep circled the issue but indicated that this is a national issue. No solution was offered but suggested that I contact the dealer every 4-5 days to see if THEY have heard anything about when a replacement might be available. Meanwhile it sits on the dealers lot dead.

Plus the Vibe is an outgoing model...they've already dropped 2 trim levels... I'm hoping I can get parts for mine when it's paid off.

I thought sure enough we'd gotten past that crap back in the 1990's, but I guess not for Toyota. It would have saved all of us who had the fart smell TSB from having to physically get a new computer. I suppose it makes more sense to Toyota to manufacture a new computer, then have to physically replace it anytime you need a programming change instead of just taking 30 seconds to plug in a scan tool and update the computer like the others do.
