205/45/16 ~.~

Post by vibe_n00b »

Hey all,Just wondering if anyone is using 205/45/16 on their vibe. I just bought this set of tires last late summer for my previous ride (wasn't plan to change it last year) but now I owned a new Vibe ^.^

They'll lower the car by a little under an inch which should be ok unless it's already lowered - just watch for deep potholes. Of course the odometer and speedometer will both read on the high side so you'll be cheating yourself out of some warranty miles and may find yourself slowing down more than you need to when you see a speed enforcement area.

A general rule-of-thumb is to stay within +/- 3% of the original tire diameter. A 205/45/16 is 7% shorter than stock.
