you can run a SERACH and see what others have discussed before. I use a bottle of Cheveron Techron Concentrate after every oil-change. Which is every 3,000 miles as the bottle will indicate. Its usually around $7. a bottle. there is a larger bottle that treats 20 gallons and a smaller bottle that treats 12 gallons. I just use the smaller bottle. Its black with white writing.

I have never put any of those additives in mine, and have had zero engine problems, so I vote for the use of them as being optional.

I agree. I have not used any of that fuel tank additive since I was in high school and I have not had any problems with fuel delivery systems.I do however get whats known as a Major Decarb every other year or so. AKA- Injector flush, AKA- Throttle Body Decarbonization with Major Injector Flush. Whatever the dealer calls it, depends on what brand of snake oil they use. BG, Versel, Forte- not sure if USA is the same names. Dealer only stuff. Its amazing the crap that comes out the exhaust when its cleaning but I have seen proven results on older cars. Plus I get done free so Im not complaining. But Im sure if thats too intense that additive stuff works as a good bit of routine maintance, keep it clean and it may never need the Major. CAN-AWD-VIBE

Most gas from the pump have additives added into them already. Marathon just hooked up with STP for there adatives this month.

I GM Master Tech told me this and with my Corvette, some people have had sulfur build up on their sending units which resulted in an erratic fuel gage. The build up was from vehicle storage and various gasoline blends and just from using the Chevron, corrected the issue. Therefore, I use a bottle of it in the Vibe and my Vette every year.

I generally don't use those retail additives. Most gasolines are already treated, but in all honesty I do keep a bottle or two around the house for when I have to gas up at a less reputable station. IE I will add a bottle of STP Fuel Injector Cleaner or STP Gas Treatment (both usually around $2-3 per bottle) after I've filled up at a place like a Diamond-Shamrock or something instead of a Chevron, Texaco, Shell or Arco/Citgo, etc.

I treat all my IC engines to an occasional cocktail of SeaFoam - really good stuff.

I second (or third) the Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner (not the gas treatment). Valvoline also recently released a new, good quality fuel system cleaner...excellent numbers over at BITOG. Both are about $7 but they go on sale fairly frequently. I use them every other oil change (about 5K), alternating with a 4oz dose of VSOT in the oil. Of course, you could stick with Chevron gasoline and forgoe the fuel system cleaner, but you'd have to buy the 92 octane to get the Techron-treated stuff.

your only getting 220 to a tank with FWD and 58k. I get about that in my 05 AWD w/ 44k. Thats with an SRI. I am going to clean up the MAF sensor and see if I get a difference on mine, but I'm still running the original plugs. I do a dino juice change ever 3k of Castrol GTS 5-30. And typically a bottle of Valvoline Complete Fuel System Cleaner. I switch between that and Techron.
