Under the hood, the Tribeca will get a modest boost to 254 horsepower (up from 245 hp), and more importantly, 247 pound-feet of torque (up from 215 lb-ft). Of course, the Tribeca's disappoint sales had much more to do with its controversial exterior than a lack of power. Accordingly, the crossover will get a revised exterior.Subaru is expected to do away with the unusual grille design and clunky headlights. The changes will mark Subaru's first departure from its "propeller nose" design theme. In August, company spokesman David Rowley said the propeller look would be scrapped. "It's fair to say the design will not appear on future Subarus," Rowley said.Source: http://www.leftlanenews.com/re....html
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
oh good. the fugly pig nose. too bad we had to order the pig nose 07 STI. but phil didn't want another hatchback, so 07 it was. plus, he likes it. i'm waiting to see the 08 STI unveiling next month. i would like to have another hatch, especially for business. but yes, the tribeca is a bit underpowered for the size and weight imo.

for the Tribeca? it's right there in line with the rest of them. but imo, i still think it's a bit underpowered for the size and weight. also a tad fugly.if you're talking about the STI, then no. for $33-36K you get a 300hp/300tq AWD performance machine, HID, Suspension, Handling, the works. to have anything comparable you'd be looking about the same $$ or more for an EVO. or spend even more for a BMW, Infinity, Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, etc.

Yay, I can't wait to see the new subaru at the auto show! I think they probably just got done cleaning up all the yark from the last time I was there and they had that ugly thing on display.

it'll be interesting to see what they unveil for both the Tribeca and Impreza hatches. the tribeca would more suit my needs for business, but i still not a big fan. plus i don't think it'd fit well in the garage. I'm still leaning towards the STI hatch... but that will have to be later down the road. plus, i haven't seen the new spec B yet. so i could always change my mind.
well the 08 Impreza was suppose to be unveiled at the NY auto show. According to the Subaru reps I spoke to yesterday, its not being pushed to the June autoshow in Vegas. Also the 2008 Impreza and WRX models will be released for sale this summer while the 2008 STi will not begin hitting the market until about christmas 2007.

yes. there is a lip spoiler that i really like, but as phil reminds me, this is his car and he likes the ginormous "pull me over and hassle me" wing because it's functional. how often do we plan to drive the car 150 mph?? not really. i think it'd look nice with the lip spoiler like on the STI Limiteds, but again, it's his car so I have to deal with it.
