My cargo cover

Post by 02csnow »

I know there have been threads on the cargo cover, so i decided to give it a try. I ended up using metal bracing to support the cover, particle board for the cover, and some gray cloth for wal-mart.

I was thinking about throwing my dog in there and see what would happen. But i dont think it would come out looking good due to a pitbull.

Sure, here you go. i may change it, but im not sure yet. Out of the scraps of metal bracing, i cut a piece (1" x 1 1/4") and drilled and 1/4" hole and just put a bolt and nut through it.

Very nice, welcome to the HCC (Hard Cover Club!) Im in the process of adjusting mine so I dont have the suppot bars. I am getting L hooks wrapped in heat shrink then putting a brace in the middle since mine is two pieces not one.I was going to go with one but I coudl not figure out how people got them to fit in the car, no matter how I tried it wouldnt go so I cut it in half. I like the half better cause you can pop one side up for access.

thats awesome snow..i'd like something like that..but instead of the bolts holding it down..just a hook...also something that can fold in half to put it on the bottom of the cargo area for larger items

Good looking, 02csnow. If Whelan doesn't get his (removed) in gear and send me a pattern for his, I might ask you for a nice walk through and patterns for yours. Or I could just reverse engineer what I like about both and figure it out myself. Then I'd be part of the "I'm so rocking cool I make stuff for my Vibe" club. Hmmm...

Geez a guy gets a little busy with engagement stuff and the world turns on him LOL. Be patient tadpole, for the one who runs fastest, does not always finish first. I have no idea what that means but I felt like typing it.

I actually dont have that in my vibe no more. Been out for about a month now. Just sitting in the garage. I was even working on a new bracket. I bought 4 new hooks and they are also just sitting in the garage.
