Steering wheel question

has anyone thought about switching the vibes steering wheel with another pontiacs or anyother cars with the radio control buttons?

Sounds reasonable, but to make them functional you'll also need a factory head unit that accepts the external controls input. If the Vibe has M&T, that will also involve the amp under the pass. seat, since the speakers are only 2 ohm so a normal swap out won't be so easy.

jeffgtx looked into it, I don't think he was able to find a compatible wheel, so he made his ownI can't remember if http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=15761 has all the details, or if there are other related threads

thanks joat i just had a thought if like the G6 or a toyota type wheel but it looks like its a no go.

YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Wouldn't the steering column require the appropriate wiring harness to accommodate the steering wheel controls?
