A piece of molding came off my car on the highway; the one above the door. Can I still get that replaced under warranty even though I don't have the missing piece?
hmmm hard one to say. Mine hadnt fell off but it was hanging off and they "repaired" it under warranty...but its coming off again...stupid double sided tape. worth a shot. Just explain what happened. I would think thats a manf. defect if it just fell off and would be covered.
i bet it's the one on the roof that goes from the front windshield back to the rack.mine came half off in a car wash..i don't think the clips can handle sideways forces as much as front to back.not sure if they'll do anything, my friend managed to get his replaced under warranty on his toyota truck, so who knows!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
If you're under 36/36,000, you should be able to have the piece replaced free of charge.I had the window seals on both front doors replaced for the cost of parts only (I was just over the warranty) due to them getting all stretched and distorted. My wife had weatherstripping come off the front windshield of her RAV4 while trying to drive 65 mph into a 30 mph wind in Oklahoma. Got it replaced by Toyota for free.
