They sticker for $37,500 w/ tech package (the only option), but they're selling at or below invoice.I got mine for $33,700 + t/t/l including wheel locks, all-season floor mats, and mud guards...no where near $45k The only drawback, and hence the reason *I* believe sales are slow is gas mileage + 91 octane fuel. 17mpg city / 21hwy is not fun lol. BUT, I was not suprised by it, and everything about the car offsets it

I got to go to the test run when I worked for Acura. We all went to a track up in MA and ran it against the X3 and RX. It kicked the **** outta those two cars. It handled better, was faster and had all options even at its base price. Only thing to add here is the Navi which as with all Acura's a 2k option.Super Handling All Wheel Drive means it turns the rear outside wheel faster than the others on corners to push the car into them better. 2.4L (same engine in the TSX and Element) i-Vtec turbo. It has a dual valve so when it is spooling up at lower RPM's the valve is slightly open to reduce turbo lag. This is the first time Honda has ever put a turbo on an automobile in the US.It sits on the same frame as the new CR-V.Kinda takes he same amount of space as say a Nissan Murano, just a little more pushed out. Congrats, Psychobroker! I test drove an RDX a few months back and loved it. I'd really like my wife to get it as her next car (to replace the RAV4), but she thinks spending $35K is ridiculous. I dunno, I think she'd change her mind after a couple of passes on the interstate.I'm guessing that the RDX will be relatively "mod-free", eh? Not that it needs much modding.

WOW! Very cool Christian! Nice lookin' ride! How is the acceleration with the Turbo compared to the Vibe GT?How much more does it weigh than the Vibe? What are the HP/TQ ratings on it again? At least your used to buying premium gas so it shouldn't be too much of a shock for you besides the larger gas tank and lower gas mileage. Ok, well maybe it is. lol.Congrats, again, and good luck with selling your Vibe!

i'm curious to know more as you get to know it better.my in-laws are looking at the MDX, but are willing to consider the smaller RDX too...they're also looking at the subaru Tribeca B9 and the Lexus 300? can't remember...the same sized SUV as the others mentioned.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

The MDX is...big. The B9 Tribeca is just fugly and the RX330/430/400h are nice, but cost way more than an RDX. Best bargain for the luxury dollar would be the RDX. The Tribeca is awkward overall. The RDX gives you the following standard (also the MDX but at a much cheaper price since they don't have a base MDX anymore)pwr. everythingheated seatspaddle shifterspwr. moonroofXM radio w/ free trialipod connection2.4L turbo 4 (better gas mileage than RX, MDX, Tribeca)High Intensity Discharge lampsetc. etc.Acura is known for one big thing, there is no otpions really. With these cars its only a tech package option which adds a few fun features like rear camera, navi, rain sensing wipers (I think), and so on. Other than that the creature comforts you expect are already there no added costs.I used to tell people all the time at the dealership when they were comparing cars. "You can buy a BMW for $30,000, but your not REALLY buying a BMW unless you spend upwards of $40,000+." That's just simple logic, BMW charges $700 for HID headlights, and more $$$ for leather, automatic tranny, blah blah blah. Not to mention BMW, Merc, and Audi use Satellite navi systems. Which means you pay a premium monthly or yearly to use your navigation system. Don't pay and you don't get navi. Toyota and Honda use DVD based, where the maps are stored on a disc and the GPS shows your relation to that. No fees, just a small $50-100 charge every 3 or 4 years when they come out with an update DVD, which you don't even have to buy!

I don't see even small adults fitting in the MDX's 3rd row. Yes, the MDX is more cushy, and likely has a few more "creature comforts" so as to keep a fence around it's market segment (keyless entry? passenger power seat? driver memory seat? V6, some semblance of towing capacity? and on and on..)

Then again, this could be simply due to the higher center of gravity and slightly softer springs on the RDX.As for weight, it weighs in at a hair under 4,000 lbs , so yeah, it's heavier!hp/tq is 240hp/260 ft-lb of torque.

It does have an FOB, but it does NOT have something like the CX-7's proximity card (I don't know what Mazda calls it). Basically if you - with the card/FOB - are within 6 feet of the car, you don't need to even touch your FOB to open the doors OR start the car. It's pretty cool. I believe the Acura RL has somerhing like this.

It gives you:- Hands free/bluetooth link- AcuraLink satellite comm system w/ real-time traffic (flow rates, accidents, construction, weather conditions)- ELS 10-speaker surround sound system w/ 410 watts and DVD-A audio ((removed) this is insane quality music...needs to be heard!)- Acura nav system with voice recognition (over 650 voice commands) - gas stations, ATMs, restaurants, fast food, etc- Multiple-info display (maintenance minder, tire pressure display, SH-AWD disaplay). This also allows you to set the headlight shut-off delay and door lock/window settings.

Actually, it's not a sudden jolt like most turbos since it spools up very low in the RPM range thanks to the dual chambered turbo. It basically takes off like a bat out of hell the second you stomp on the accelerator

I'm right around 600 miles on the odo. At 1k, I plan on taking it through a few "paces".

LOLi know i had a tough time! now, until i get my valve bodies upgraded, i can't go over 5psi on the car... it kills me! lol.but better to break her in properly to prevent premature wear and tear! besides, improper break ins for turbo's can certainly affect your gas mileage and cause unnessary wear on the car. btw, don't think i mentioned it already, but the car looks good!

Psychobroker, your RDX looks great! I remember years ago when you were first modifying your Vibe and I envied it. I actually just heard about the RDX recently and thought it would be a nice next car. I'm sure you probably already thought about this, but how about putting your Vibe's 18s on the RDX? Is the bolt pattern different?
