had some missfire codes on my vibe,,changed the plugs, air filter and pcv and cleaned the maf and tb,,,,still slightly missfires but not enough to bring on the cel,,,,,,,,,,,,i dont know what to do??brought it to toyota,,,checked it and said its running fine,,,but its not,,dont wanna bring it back to gm,,,their answer was to replace the plugs and erase the codes,,,,well that didnt work,,,toyota said they could check the freezeframe??if the cel comes again,,,,,,,,,,,i dont know what to do??wait for a cel,,or change the o2 sensor????car seems like its lacking air to breath or fuelsome feedback please
im going to order one tomorrow,,,ill install it and let you all know how the car runs after,,,,,im 99% its the maf,,,,,there is a hot and cold wire in it that detects the temperature of the air along with the volume,,this all started the first day it went below -1,,,if im wrong my wife will kill me
maybe its the o2 sensors? theres 2 one on the intake and one on the exhaust if im not mistaken and if one is giving the wrong numbers it could mess some stuff up. Do you have a cai or any mods? or are you stock?
Have you put a bottle of Chevron Tech fuel system cleaner in the car? Do not use anything else if you have not. I would start here, cheaper than a sensor.

From my experience it is like a stumble, jolt or a pause while the engine is running. Picture yourself stopped at a traffic light and you feel a thump, almost as if someone tapped the car. That is what it feels like. If the engine is turning higher RPMs, such as you are moving, the jolt is usually worse. Sometimes you get a check engine code, sometimes not. Depends on how bad the miss is usually.
well guys my vibe is still running like crap after my new mass air flow sensor,,,it ran alright for a day but then it was back to crapville,,,brought it to g.m. today,,,they put it on a scope and its running on CLOSED LOOP,,,,,as opposed to open loop,,,they said that its running on closed loop way to soon,,,,they suspect its the o2 sensor but are going to do some further investigating,,i will defenitely fill u all in with the outcome
