Hey. Why not a new cel code... p1600

Post by Legros »

Hi,have a new cel code for about two or three week. It come and go (generally more come than go lately... ). Bring my car to the garage, the guy was rush out... so gave me the code and erase it. Well it took about two start later to get the cel back. The car runs fine... sometime doesnt start at the first try but for the rest no sign of anythingp1600: ECM Battery Back-up Circuit Fault. Anyone have an idea? Made couple check on genvibe/MO without any success.Cold air, magnaflow and unichip... Those where on for couple month and didnt have any problem except speed limit

I'd say check the EFI fuse (underhood), if not then see if this PDF helps

I got P1600 CEL and I have Unichip.I checked the EFI fuse and had it out for at least 1/2 hr.After removing the Unichip and reconnecting back to OEM, CEL was gone.I'm in the process of contacting Unichip to see what they'll do about the harness. I'm assuming their piggyback harness shorted out or something.

Well, I guess the switch was on 0 instead of |.I think my brother in law touched it when he borrowed my car b/c he asked me what that switch was...Well, no more CEL w/ Unichip and the car pulls in lift now!! Was kinda sluggish w/o it.
