only one tweeter?

I have a 2006 base vibe and noticed a tweeter on the small triangle panel on the right door next to the side view mirror. But there is not one on the driver's side. Is there supposed to be one on the driver's side too?

Sounds like some "shady" buisiness going on. Did you buy it from a dealer, cause if so, I would be at there door kicking them in the shins.Do you have a sunroof on your Vibe?

if you have moons and tunes (or whatever they call it on the 06 vibe) you should have a tweeter on both shark fins on the doors. probably came from the factory that way. things slip out of the factory believe it or not, even TOYOTA. just go back to the dealer and tell them, I'm sure they will fix you right up.

I don't have a sunroof or moons and toons or anything. Just the base. So did I get an extra tweeter that shouldn't be there, or ought I to have gotten TWO?

from the factory, vibes are supposed to either come with the full moon&tunes (aka sun&sound) package, or none of it. The package includes the sunroof, an external audio amplifier under the passengerr seat, and tweeters by the external mirrors in the front doors. If you don't have the sunroof, then you normally wouldn't have gotten any tweeters. Getting one tweeter is odd. Did you buy the car new from a Pontiac dealer?

My wife's Vibe has the CD with MP3 option and 7 speakers, incl. the tweeters, but no sunroof.But since the original poster has the standard audio system his Vibe should just have the 4 speakers in the doors and no tweeters.

Isn't the rule of thumb:Factory amp under passenger seat = 7-speaker system with tweeters on doors?

At least 6 speaker... I am one of the lucky ones that has M&T, but they didn't have the Sub in them. I wish I had a sub though, or could at least add one to the amp. I would so do it if I could. I don't want to change the amp or get a new HU, I just want the stock sub.

Then I guess the thing to do would be to look under the passenger seat for the amp, and if it's there, jak got ripped off one tweeter, and if it's not, then jak got one extra

Looks like I got an extra freebie tweeter. Its kind of strange though. It's a brand new car. I'm bringing it to the dealer though, and see if they'll fix the problem (put in a second tweeter (not take the existing one out)).It makes me wonder what other strange stuff is going on with this car.
