Hi. I'm wondering if this is anything I should be concerned with. I got the oil changed. I've had the car since August, and they wanted to change the air filter. I told them I'd do it myself, so when I got home, I checked it, and the bottom of the box was full of sunflower seed shells, corn, etc. as if a mouse had been in there. 1st - is there any way a mouse could get in there? Is it anything to be concerned about? Any way those things could have been sucked into there without being brought in by an animal? I feed the birds next to the garage, so I'm assuming that's where the seed came from. I know a mouse had been living in the garage, as I had found one of those little individual cereal boxes on a shelf filled with seeds under a bunch of junk.I vacuumed everything out real well and am going to replace the air filter.Meg
It's fairly common actually. It happened to my uncle and me on my motorcycle. It shouldn't be a problem. Just have a quick look around at all the wiring to make sure he didn't nibble on anything else besides the sunflower seeds. There was a thread about this not too long ago.
I had one on my engine a little while ago,I pulled the engine cover off to change my plugs and to my surprise there was a big turd there. They come in under the black plastic cover over the cowl area.Make sure it's tight and no cracks that he can slip in.

Living on a farm, I have had squirrel rat and mouse damage to all my vehicles. The worst was a squirrel chewing all the vacuum lines in my F-150. I also had birds nest in my grille. I have 3 vehicles and whatever gets parked in the barn for more than 3 days gets moved into by some varmints.
