Help! Please!I have had some steering/suspension problems with my Vibe lately, and still have a problem getting anyone to recognize they still exist. To start out, my car got really bad and started shifting funny and handled poorly. I have 32k on it so I took it to the dealership and they said the Transmission Mounts were bad and replaced both the front and the back. This was a 200% improvement, but there is still a problem. My Vibe normally handles very tightly and is always responsive, but the steering seems to be 'loose' now. It is not the same as it was before my mounts went out. I have not upgraded my suspension, or made any mechanical changes to my Vibe at all. So far these are the things that I have done in the last two weeks, hoping to take care of the problem:- 2 new 17" Yokohama YK520 tires (had replaced 2 about 24k, but needed 2 more)- balanced all 4 tires, rotated new tires to front, older to back- Transmission Flush (not dirty, but usually do it sooner than 30k on my cars)- 4 wheel alignment (front was slightly off, not a lot though)- took the car to two different Pontiac dealers, and an independent shop. All three inspected the front end and 'could not replicate the problem' (bet no one has heard that in a while). I was even so frustrated at one dealership that I made the service manager road test a new Vibe and my Vibe to find the difference. He said that it was hard for him to tell if there was a difference, but that I could drive it for a while and bring it back if there was still a problem. He said that the struts could be going bad (not leaking any fluid), but he couldn't replace them 'just because'.The problem is that it is not so bad that you have no doubt something is wrong. My car just doesn't 'feel' the same. It loses composure when you corner at high speeds, the steering feels 'loose' to me almost all of the time, when you hit a bump (speed bump, bump on highway), the steering wheel will 'move' slightly. At highway speeds it feels almost the same as a car would if the tires are out of balance. I know that its probably not even noticeable to most people, but I have always felt every little problem that my car has...I can't stand them though.I have searched for several days for anything similar, so if someone finds that this is already covered - sorry. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

Mine never felt loose, it was quite the opposite actually - it took far more force to turn the wheel at slow speeds. Had the P/S pump replaced, fixed it for a while but it came back. Either that pump died or it needed a rack, but I couldn't get the dealer to do anything about it.The couple of months before I got rid of the car though, it was handling dangerously sloppy. I know what you mean it doesn't feel the same. It was scary around curves and would easily become upset by bumps, cracks, or various other pavement irregularities. I never figured out what the deal was with it, I just dumped the thing. A set of struts would probably have done it some good.
