I like the look of these xD's better. I hope there's no trademark involved with the memory cards, they were here first. Those are, well, both pretty nasty! Redesigned but still offensive. More power though, which I'm sure was really needed. I don't see how the old xb even moved. Put wheels on a brick and give it less than 110 HP, that was a winning formula. And drop the stupid center mounted gauge cluster already, Toyota. That's gotta be an ergonomic disaster. At least the digital speedo in the new one may make it easier to see how fast you're going. The old clusters with the mixed color faces and funky characters would be hard as heck for me to read easily. There comes a time when too much "style" complicates things.

I agree with the colonel on dropping the center gauge cluster. I test drove an Xb before I checked out the Vibe, and that was the thing that really turned me off about the car. The new one is much better looking.

The XD is still as ugly as the original. And I am glad that they moved the gage cluster back to where it belongs. I admit that I do like that tuned version. They made XB look bland, and even though I hate central mounted gages, I do like the ones in the XB. And again the tuned version they have pictured is pretty sweet looking.
Camryesque headlamp designs and even worse rear quarter visibility. How do you see out the back side there on either car.The Xb is still too boxy for me and the Xa looks very cheap. I was never a fan of the Xa, I put it in the same categories of not liking as I do the Suzuki Aerio SX, some woman on my commute home drives a yellow one, man they are disgusting!
my girlfriend's got an xA. i like it. the center dash doesn't bother me, and there's surprisingly alot of room inside. except for the fact that its a foot shorter than the vibe/trix.never liked the xB. i think the xD is ok until you get to the freakin ugly rear quarter panel. what the hell is that?

Guess I'm all alone here. I think the new xD looks HOT!And, quite honestly, it probably shares a lot of lines with how the new Matrix will end up looking. The front end falls right in line with the Yaris and Camry.Haven't seen any dimensions on it. Looks like it COULD be slightly longer than the xA, which, for the record, is a car I really like and considered buying one before I settled on the Vibe.I was never quite certain whether I liked the center mounted gages or not. It was a love it or hate it thing with the Echo owners and, despite the Toyota quality, I could see it hurting resale value. In either case, the traditionally positioned gages look great in this.As for the wider quarter panel... It's a very European look. Considering the Yaris HB was designed in Europe, I wouldn't be surprised if the same team didn't do this.the xA fans have gotta be loving the news that it's getting our engine. Those extra 20 or so ponies oughta make this car zip pretty good. And, on a car that should weigh less than a Corolla? Ought to get outstanding MPG.I think I may see my next car
