Just watched last week's episode and I coulda swore that Juliet was Desmond's girlfriend. Where's why I think this:1 beacuse they have no boat, 2 karl (da dude in the cage wanted to run away to where Sawyer's camp was,3 that girl (Danielle's daughter) was there,4 they didn't see the "2nd" island when Jin, Sayid, and Sun on the boatEDITS:5 The polor bear, I know they could swim from one island to another, but why?6 And, the Others were on the island when the plane crashed

All your reasons are valid to me, V4V. The way I see it, the "other island" is actually a projection of the same island altered by a severe spacetime warp. It's the same warping that prevents persons from leaving the island and is suggestive of a black hole. I'm still in the "The Island is Purgatory" camp, but the possibility that the island technology created a mini-black hole explains a lot of why so many anachonistic events have been happening there.I have a critical comment about the writing and directing. Significant events (such as death, disappearance, major island anomolies like the "fail save event") have been met with very little emotional response from both the Survivors and the Others. Maybe it would slow the pace of the story down, but it leaves the characters hollow. The characters were the main attraction I had to this show and they're getting less and less interesting.OTOH, HOW COOL WAS IT TO SEE "MEL" AS KATE'S HUSBAND! My wife and I just finished watching the entire Firefly series and movie (another thread) and are hooked.

alright...the recap show got the hook in my mouth and the new episode started reeling me back into the boat...i'll admit, i'm interested again.BUT i was close to jumping away again as i was reminded of one thing that really annoys me about this show....commercials.There are WAY too many commercial breaks and the breaks are unbelievably long!Example: The show was on from 10:29 to 10:38 then commercial break to 10:44...show to 10:54, then commercial for 2 minutes then the end of the show.That's 8 minutes of commercials in 30 minutes!What i find worse are the 6 minutes of show! That's how many minutes of commercials there were from 10:38 to 10:44![/rant]

I've never seen it. I think because the soundstage freaks me out-I drive by it every day to and from work-the old Xerox building where the biggest murder in Hawaii happened. (a guy shot and killed 7 of his co-workers) they must've got a real cheap lease on the building because NOBODY wanted to lease it. Even though they renovated it so that it looks different, it was the Xerox building since I could remember, and still is the Xerox building to me and I still get chills driving past it. Most of the cast members have had something happen-DUI's, speeding tickets, home invasions, home fires...it's the curse of the Xerox building, I think...

I believe that Mal's character, Kevin, is supposed to make another appearance in this next weeks episode. (April 4th)And I like this last weeks episode, it really did nothing to move the plot forward, but it was very well written with a nice little twist in the end.
