the front strut tower rubbs the front wheels.

I know a LOT of GTO owners, and this is the first I'm hearing of any issue like this...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

it is all over the cleveland news tonight. they even showed a tire that was cut up.

it must be a defective upper control arm that are stamped wrong. the strut tower doesn't come that close to the tires. reason? GM roll tests (up to 60 MPH) every vehicle they produce and that would have shown up in at least 1 vehicle comming off the line. I'm not saying its not true, but I rather doubt GM knowingly kept it from the public. like the reporter suggests.
