Well I picked up my gf's present today, 20" Sharp flat panel LCD-TV. Pretty slick, much better than the 13" tube she has now in her room. I'm sure she will be excited, I know I am, lol. Got a good deal too. Originally $449 at Best Buy, on sale for $329 and I had a $53 credit gift card to use. So $296 out the door, that's cheaper than most 15" screens.Oh and if anyone is thinking of gifts for me, I will be 26 on Friday so feel free to request my address and send away
I'm a Sony guy myself - gotta love the XBR series LCD TVs (my XBR is 32"). But for the bedroom, I picked up the 20" Sharp Aquos. I think both Sharp and Sony are upper-echelon in terms of LCD manufacturers so +1 there.I did notice that it isn't the Aquos, which is ok (I'm not that much of a TV snob) especially if she won't have HD signal.

Yes it is not the Aquos, that would probably easily be another $100. But for the price I was able to get and the fact that it was Sharp and not some Insignia, Advent brand for the size, I'm sure she will be happy.
looks good, and if she's not happy, you can send it to me
