Purposely chose to have manual windows. A few times in the past I have had cars where the window would not go up, or go down. What a pain when it rained! It usually involved a broken belt or busted motor ... very expensive labor to replace, and loss of use of vehicle during repair.Never had a manual window fail me!

LOLI was in a rut and had to get outta my manual everything cavalier and into something cheap and good on gas... this was it, but mine came as bare as could be made... i was lucky it came with tires and a steering wheel! lolI think power windows are better though, cuz you have to reach over if you want then windows down, and it could be dangerous while driving. i do roll them down while not on the road but when you need ot put them up while driving, its hard to reach and focus

i have no power i got the bottom of the line vibe out there, the only option i got was Auto tranny. nothing else its all manual windows and locks but i have mastered the rolling down the windows (even though im pretty tall)
Mine was manual but yet it has the power sunroof...Considering Pontiac wanted and extra $850-$1000 for power locks and windows, i think i will go on ebay and find the aftermarket set...i know i will get the power locks when I install the alarm system....

After my first two cars being manual, I got power windows on my 2000 GMC Jimmy and loved it. So, my Vibe had to have it also. Now, when it comes time to shop for my next car, if it doesn't have power options then it will be out of the running.(That won't happen for a long time, hopefully).
My Fleet:
'15 Ford Fusion AWD Titanium 2.0 Tutbo
'14 Lincoln MXZ AWD 2.0 Turbo
'14 Nissan Pathfinder AWD SL
'05 Pontiac Vibe AWD
got manual...just for the fact that i've seen enough people with power windows/locks and have so many problems with them..and i dont wanna go down that road
My previous ride was all manual. When shopping for the Vibe, the power package wasn't on the list of must-have options, but the one the dealer found that fit all my other criteria had the power package. For which, I am sooooooo glad!!! I wouldn't ever go back to manual again.

i went with the power options for everything. as rarely as i actually open the windows, it's nice to be able to hit them all at once, or maybe just one of the rear windows for my dog.

And the labor on top of that! If it's a 4-door car, the car is off-warranty and one by one the motors crap out on you... then you park with the trash bag in the door.
I Got The Power! But that's the nice thing about The Vibe. You can have it your way. With the Matrix, the Toyota dealers around me only had few options on how they were going to sell you their cars. And that was basically optioned to the max(but you could not get Vehicle Stability Control with a Matrix). But if this were my first car and I was on a strict budget, I wouldn't mind a bare bones edition with manual everything.

We have one of each, but the survey doesn't allow multiple entries. My daughter and I preferred the manual windows, so that's what's on her Vibe (which is also a 5-spd). But my wife prefers the power option and automatic and got hers equipped that way.
Mine doesn't have keyless entry but it does have power locks/windows. Is there a way to tell if it has keyless entry but the previous owner just lost the fob?
you can get the remotes and have them programmed to your lock system

i think if you have automatic door locks, you already have the keyless entry system in it, just get the fob activated to your car

My '06 is without the power windows or doorlocks. I don't mind one bit as I've never personally owned a car that had them (though my wife's '05 PT Cruiser does.). I needed a car like, immediately, and my '06 Platinum two-tone had everything else I wanted, including the color. I wasn't going to knock it back for not having the power package. Besides, I got a much better deal on it. This was over four months ago, and the two remaining Vibes (both stealth two-tones, one with power and one without) that I passed on are still on the lot!

Old style center console lid. All-weather front floormats. Rear bumper fascia protector. Drawtite hitch.
The window crank, a dying breed. I grew up having to crank the windows, until my parents bought an '86 Caprice. Man that was the best thing since sliced bread, push the button and viola! No manual labor! My first car didn't have them or power locks, and my third had power locks but no power windows. Everything else let me by lazy, even with the seat like I had on the Malibu. But having all the manual stuff wasn't the end of the world, the car was still driveable. I don't mind cranking the windows, but not having power locks is a PITA especially in a 4-door.The power windows on the Vibe gave me so much trouble, but on its replacement i still got them. The heated power mirrors that were included in the option package on mine steered me towards the power stuff since I'd been wanting those things forever. Figured I might as well get them now as they were available on a car I could afford.

What can I say? I guess I'm one of the last of the rugged individualists. I'm sure I would have gone stick if that hadn't negated the possibility of my wife EVER driving the Vibe (not that that would be a totally bad thing...). The last brand-new car I'd bought for my own personal use was in December of 1975 (I know - Wow. Old AND cheap!) A 1976 Dodge Aspen. Slant six, 4 on the floor, bench seat, manual windows, NO AC (!). The one big option I sprang for was the AM/FM radio rather than just plain AM. But just the radio. I don't recall, but back in the mid-70's 8 tracks were still the rage, so that was probably the next audio upgrade (?). Oh yeah - even a day/night rearview mirror was optional back then). So compared to that my Vibe is like a luxury car with its auto, ac, stereo radio/CD, power mirrors, AC outlet, etc. I know it's still a very basic base model, but I love it. Keep it simple, I say...

God, I feel so...GREEDY!I have to have it all. Power windows. Power mirrors. Auto trans. Premium sound. Moonroof. XM. OnStar. You name it, I want it.Only option my G6 doesn't have is side airbags, and that's because I couldn't FIND a darn coupe anywhere in the entire state of NJ, eastern PA, or southern NY that had everything I wanted + SAB. DOH! Oh, and I was far too impatient to wait for an order.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
yeah the power pkg was like an extra 17 bucks a month...well worth it in my opinion, gives you pwr windows and locks, keyless entry, cruise ctrl, and a button in the dash to open the hatch glass...oh and dont forget the front license plate holder and rear security cover
I had never had a car with power ANYTHING, so with this car I really wanted that option. I've heard all the cons--WAY more expensive to fix if anything happens, but I didn't care--I just wanted to upgrade a bit. I was buying used, so I didn't have the luxury of everything I wanted, but I managed to get most--power doors, windows, moonroof....about the only thing I wanted that I didn't get was the Monsoon system, but I guess if I want more out of my sound system I can add that myself. All in all I am VERY happy with what I got, but when I post on here that my #!&% motor went out in my power windows, you all will have to remind me of this post!
