AEM is excellent. I have a Cosmo Racing CAI and it's great, plus it's about $100.00 cheaper than the big brand names. K&N only makes a short ram, not a CAI.

My Cosmo has been good to me also, and it comes in different colors,so the $100 difference you can mod something else.http://www.cosmoracing.com/pro...d=409

i had a TRD CAI. It threw a CEL on the Vibe GT's, not on the Toyotas. Go figure.Phil has an Injen CAI. on the 04, you have a lot more options than the 05+. No issues as to date and it's been on the car since June 04.not all CAI are the same as far as R&D and quality. Injen, AEM, TRD all do a lot of quality control and testing, have dyno #'s to back up their claims, etc. hell, if you don't care about the quality, you can always make one yourself out of pvc piping. I was not aware that the Bomz or Cosmo intakes were in fact carb certified for emissions (if that is an issue in your state). someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but that was one of the reasons why they are so cheap...

I have a short ram cai from AEM and in 3.5 years never had a problem with. It sounds so sweet though

The Best CAI is the Injen. The Best SR is either the Weapon-R Secret Intake or the AFE. Both are capable of 10+hp gains. Most SR's do not utilize a heat shield. The AFE's heat shield would be the difference maker for adding an additional 2-3h+/-hp. So, I could see it as a possibility that the AFE could get you an additional 16hp under certain conditions. Someone on MO has the AFE Intake. Here is TPR Magazines Intake Lab test results:SR: http://www.tprmag.com/issue/1/sr-results.shtmlCAI: http://www.tprmag.com/issue/1/ca-results.shtml
