Dealer/Mechanic Testimonial

Post by Fievel »

Just returned from having my Vibe serviced. (No big deal - Map light burned out, and didn't feel like paying for a new bulb myself.)Anyways, the mechanic who replaced it rather quickly was remarking how it was only the 2nd vibe they've ever seen in there, and the first one was pulling out as I was pulling in. He also had a minor repair. He said that he was so impressed with the way they are put together that he bought one himself.Pontiac Vibe - If your mechanic drives it, it has to be good

Cool! My dealership has only had Vibes in for oil changes and minor repairs as well. Things are looking really good so far.

Yeah...he said that it's a major part of it...he even said "between you and me...this is tons better than anything that would be put in something like an oldsmobile."

I brought my Vibe in for a leaky moonroof and rear window... I feel special, they had to call tech support. It was the first one they've had in there. The folks at the dealership seem to be in awe with the car, it's interesting each time I go in there. Someone always has something to say. Wow, that is a cool car, I love that blue color, I want one, I wish the wife would let me have one, etc. You'd think they have never seen one before, odd considering they had a Lava monotone GT in the showroom from October until January. Oddly enough, right after I bought my Vibe, the other two that sat outside were gone, as was the GT in the showroom. They've only been able to get one Vibe since. They hired another service advisor shortly before I bought the Vibe. I've only seen him a couple of times. Called them the other day to schedule an oil change and take advantage of the free tire rotation they offer for as long as I own the car. The new guy answered, as soon as I gave him my name and what I wanted, he said "Oh, that's on the Vibe, isn't it?" Cool that he would remember...IMHO, the Vibe is one of the best in GM's lineup these days. I come from an all-GM family, but after the nightmare I had with my Malibu, I really wanted to take my business elsewhere. Three or more trips per month for service is a little too excessive for my tastes. But, thanks to the quality of the Vibe, and the fantastic dealership I have found, there's another GM car out in the driveway to keep up with the tradition. Well, sorta GM anyways... I am having problems though, service department withdrawl! Other than the one visit mentioned earlier, the only other reason I've been back is to pick up the splash guards and ventshades. I need some stuff to break so I can get my fix! LOL!

Hehe. But yeah, the only Vibe my dealer has not been able to sell is an Envy one. Go figure, lol. No offense to any envy owners here, but I think that color is nasty. They had a Sunfire that was more pukish colored, and they couldn't sell that oen either. They said they traded it with another dealer just to get rid of it, because repeat visitors asked about why it wouldn't sell, and what was wrong with the car. LOL!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
