ZzZzZzZz...

Post by Merzbow »

OK....I think everyone in Michigan on the forums died or something. I understand winter is the most irritating and useless time of the year here but you are all obviously doing something or you would be posting interesting topics!I'm sooooooo bored with my life right now I could scream. What is everyone here doing for entertainment? Don't say all you do is go to work and school and you don't have time for entertainment because that's just b/s I'm broke, border-line in debt and VERY bored so I need some ideas or I'm going to start robbing banks or something! j/k.

Ha, well automatically because it's about 5 degrees F right now and ice/snow/salt/calcium chloride on the ground, that automatically rules out cruising, racing, tennis, basketball, golf and anything of that nature.I don't like TV, and I've beaten pretty much all of the video games I own. I would like to get a PS3 or 360 to keep me busy until spring, which I will then be out cruising and driving probably every night, but like I said, I'm broke . I go to school in the mornings and afternoons on most days and work at night so it's hard to hang out with friends. I have an excuse for everything BTW This is why I am having difficulties finding something to keep me sane until spring when I can take out the Vibe and cruise with the windows all the way down and not catch 400 different viruses and bacterias. I supose trying to find a girl would help but I haven't been "shopping" ina while so I forget where to look.

(removed)....cage fighter. I'd probably have to go downtown Detroit for something like that I wouldn't even know where to go.I'm saving my money to pay off my tires and then I'm buying a s/c so you're right it will be worth something VERY soon dj I understand what you mean though by saving, but I don't make enough money to save for a house yet. I'll be done with school probably next winter and police academy in the spring so after that I'll start saving for a down payment.

Merzbow!

Merzbow, where did you get your shorty antennae? This is probably common knowledge to seasoned genvibers, but I was curious as to where you bought it, and how much it was. Reception change at all? I usually just use my Sirius, but I have to deal with the FM modulator for a while...

I got it from Ebay. The seller's name was Mangowalk I beleive. Funny that I remember cause it was a while ago but it's a weird name that's probably why. I think it was like $15 or something like that. The reception isn't as good as stock, but like you I had XM and I HATE regular radio with a passion. I moved the XM to my work car and now I just listen to cds in the Vibe so the radio doesn't get touched.

Do you have a secondary HU hidden somewhere? I looked at your pics on your C.D. pic page (I too, have an Abyss/black Vibe) and it looks like you still had the stock HU in the dash, but obviously, that is where the word "stock" ends as far as your system. Thanks for the info on the shorty antennae. I am getting a little tired of removing the stock foot-long every time I go to the car wash...

lol. I LOOOVE music but I refuse to pay $250 for a cd player when the one I have works perfectly fine (even though it's been replaced three times under warentee (removed)). My dad and step mom run an ebay buisness though and they get warehouse direct pricing on anything and everything. I found an awesome double-DIN navigation moniter that plays DVDs, CDs, CDRs, MP3s, the works for only $450 so Im thinking about getting that soon.

If you want to, you could call me on my cell (which I will pm you with). You could just give me a call and we could go do whatever. And, if you want, Ashley could come too, so that way you could see her Vibe. Sorry about the late post, but I supose its better late than never, right? RIGHT!!dan
