It should handle a double DIN unit, the stock radios were single DIN so they used the bottom portion as a storage bin. Right below the radio are the climate controls, and right above are the A/C vents, clock, hazard switch, and passenger air bag status light. I've attached a way too small pic for ya. I'm not sure how it all comes apart, you could always go ask or look around at ElantraXD. BTW, if you need it when you're taking that sucker apart, Hyundai has online shop manuals available for anyone to use free of charge. Go to
http://www.hmaservice.com and register; if the registration e-mail doesn't go through (sometimes it's flaky like that) you can click the lost password stuff and it will get mailed to you that way.
