Floormats

Post by prometheuswire »

I am a new Vibe owner and I don't have floor mats. I went to the GM website but the only floor mats I saw were the all weather ones that came with the "Acitve" package. I went to target and got some but the shade of black I got doesn't match the interior that I have.Any suggestions? Where did you guys get yours?

Hello and welcome to genvibe. If I understand you correctly, you didn't receive standard floor mats with your new purchase or are you looking for all weather mat.

I thought all Vibes came with carpet floor mats as standard equipment. Maybe check your saleman's car.

I have really liked the heavy duty all-weather floor mats from weathertech. They are a bit more expensive, but I have yet to have any other floor mat outlast them. They usually offer them in a few different colors, black is one of them. I still have the black ones from my Mustang in the front floor of my Vibe. They aren't a perfect fit, but they fit and were still in good shape when I traded in the Mustang so I kept them. Weathertech also makes heavy duty rubber cargo liners. You can check it all out for yourself at www.weathertech.com .

My Vibe came with carpet mats. To protect them, I put my Pantsaver car mats right over top. They fit around the dead pedal very well, without any trimming. I don't know if you can still get these floor mats; mine are about 8 or 9 years old.

I bought the weathertech mats-they fit perfectly and are very good quality. I especially like that they are black with red trim-so are a good match. But they were pricey-probably about $190.00 CA with taxes and shipping

Definately go back to the dealer and get your mats. Or I would also suggest the rubber floor mats from GM. I bought those and have been really happy with them. But I would go get your carpeted mats as well.

I got all 4 GM (Vibe logo'd) all weather mats for my new vibe (i plan on driving it for 10 yrs... and really like them.they are cut to match the exact contours of the car floor (both front and rear; most generic mats did not follow the rear area well at all, most being too small)i also like the 'honeycomb' cell design. it keeps water and slush from sloshing around on the mat and pooling in low spotsthey are 'spiked' on the underside so they grip the car's floor carpetingthere cost a little more than generics but i find that the exact fit is a good part of what makes them work well. Over the lifetime of the car, the additional 30-40$ for the whole set is well worth it to mesylvain
Salsa 2-tone Basecargo nets, liner and seatback storageThe best thing about having my previous car totaled in an accident is that i got a Vibe to replace it
