(removed) what a great place you all have here. Hope you all don't mind but I'm moving in. I am not yet legally a pround owner of a Vibe yet per say. Although I have been driving an 04 Vibe for about a yr. My 04 Vibe is my company car right now and I have been loving it. Thankfully our company allows us to purchase the vehicle after we are done with it. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Currently my Vibe has around 117,000 miles on it and I have not had one problem with it. Though my wife hit a raccoon not long ago but the damage was slight and the company fixed it right up. Come March I will be purchasing the Vibe for around $1500 and receiving my new car which will be a 07 Chevy HHR. The vibe will be my wife's daily driver, but that won't stop me from tricking her out. So much great info here, I can't wait to get my name on the title so I can start spending some money.Lataz
Welcome to genvibe! You're certainly welcome here Good to hear that you have that many miles with no problems. What kind of plans do you have for the Vibe? Enjoy your stay and good luck with the purchase
Plans would include a new hood with a ram air intake, some new rims and rear spoiler. I would love to install a supercharger, but don't think that would be a good idea considering the number of miles that it has on it. Also some various audio upgrades. Oh yeah and definitely a new paint job. 117,000 miles has taken it's toll on the paint job up front. I love the color of Blue Crush's paint job.
rebuild + turbo!!!!! mileage isn't as important as how well the engine was maintained and driven. You would probly need to go have everything checked out to make sure you'd be ok just to be safe. but more than likely it would be fine if you took care of the car and everything was up and running as it should be. The supercharger doesn't have a very high boost level and was designed to run on a completely stock engine.(I'm in no way responsible if your engine blows up from boost lol)Oh yeah, We love pics here (stock or not) so post some if you have any
rebuild or buy a used engine for like 1200 and supercharger for like 2000 and BAM S/C vibe.. for like under 4 grand!!!
