FlynHwian - '04 GT

Post by FlynHwian »

FlynHwian's 04 Vibe GT This car turned out to be perfect cuz I needed a car that could haul a half stack and other band stuff. So it looked like for my price range, I was doomed to get an xB. All I could think about test driving it was "Where's the power?" But I spotted the Vibe at a Ford dealership and after test driving (another) xB I asked to test drive the Vibe (which was well over my budget) but it looked pretty cool with the body kit and spoilers, not too over the top but aggressive looking and after I got it onto the freeway I was surprised by the power of this little car, not crazy powerful or anything, just quick. So I told the salesman if I could get the Vibe for the price of the used xB, I'd take it.So, it turned out that what I could afford turned out to be a pretty nice ride especially since I can fit 2 half stacks, a PA, a bass amp, 2 guitars, and a bass (in cases) in and still ride in style. This pic's the day I got my car back from the body shop. A friend backed up into me at a gig , but it turns out, the SLP hood was the same price as getting an OEM from Pontiac so I got a Ram Air fiberglass hood from the makers of the Camaro SS and FireHawk Firebird, for free since my friend's insurance was already paying for the hood. Good deals, good deals. Mods: SLP Ram Air HoodInjen CAIFactory body kit and both GM Accessory Wings (Each one adds 10hp!!!1 )Replaced Fog Lights w/ Off-Roading Lights Future Mods: '03 ECU upgradeMagnaflow Exhaust Zex Nitrous (maybe, lol)

Welcome to the site. I got into a wreck not to long ago, the passenger side front fender and front bumper were toast. Didn't put as much as a scratch on my hood. I was bummed, I also wanted the slp hood. looks good man.

Thx for all the welcomes everyone, and I forgot to add to the "Future Mods" List:Progress SB'sMegan Racing STB (hopefully tonight, thx Mrizzle)MRCN RCE: Definitely would like to know of any SoCal meets in my area and meet some local vibers.CHICHI: Bummer on not being able to replace your hood, I didn't even think about it til I got hit, but its the best thing to ever happen to it!! TCAM: Yeah, nitrous seems like the easiest way to gain ~50hp when I need it without sacrificing too much in terms of reliability, but I'm gonna wait til it's outta warranty for that.Silverhawk: Thanks for the compliment man, I think the newer models looks more classy whereas the older ones like mine look more aggressive and I think it looks way cool with the hood on it.
