Post by VforVIBE »

I will supply all that you will need for the bypass for free (but donations are appreciated the pack is $8 for 2 connectors) but if anyone wants to bring a pair of pliers that would be awesome, I only have 2 that means we could only do one car at a time.

the throttle body bypassQuote, originally posted by BlueCrush »Cold: It prevents the hot coolant from circulating through the TB. This will help to keep intkae temps down so your engine creates more power. Not much just a few HP. But you will notice the slight difference. The coolant running through the TB is mainly for cold climates, supposedly to prevent any frost from building up in the TB but I, and may others, have done it with nice results and not problems with frost in the winter, whatsoever!

nope, this can be done to any relatively new vehicle, this has to do with the throttle body, in the older vibes, I've been told it's on the back of the TB, but what you're looking for is and inlet and outlet in the TB. you know where the intake leads to. I haven't been under the hood of an older Vibe, so I don't really know where it is...

haha well alot of it has to do with Anna wanting to see a beach & I'm getting alot of help, too I wanted to go to the South Central Rally last year but things just didn't work out. So far everything is going great for this one. The drive is the only downside but I think we'll have some nice scenery most of the way. We need a short vacation anyway haha

Hi all, I will be making up some window cards for the Meet. It will identify each car so everyone will know about it. If you are coming please email me the following info: (1) Year, Make and Model, (2) Color, (3) Owner/Driver (4) Your city and state. There will be room on the card to add options, mods and other special features. The cards will help when voting and aid in appreciating your vehicle's assets. do we need to list what everyone is bringing (i.e. tools, parts for installs or whatever)? So far I think all we'll need is pliers (TB bypass) & whatever is required for LEDs.

i can bring wrenches and stuff if needed; pliers i dont have really cause people be jackin them at shop...i need to go pick up LED's, switches, and maybe some splice connectsother than that, im probably just going to have some screwdrivers, the drill, the bits, a 10mm boltdriver, some wire, crimps, a crimper, a stripper, splice connects, tape (electrical and duct) switches, and LED's. contemplating throwing in a lil' multimeter and a testlight too. if someone else want to bring sockets though, i't'd probably be for the best because my collection is rather extensive and lives in my box at schoola quick note on the LED's...if you want a switch for them, it can be done, but i've been running on with the console power (i.e. ignition switched) for over a year now with no switches and problems at alli'll make myself a cheat sheet on the DRL cut, it's been a while since i've cut my own and i cant remember which wire it is...as far as the LED's, i can decipher what's what real quickanything else im forgeting?

I have a small socket set and lots of screwdrivers. nm the switch if it's too much trouble I just don't want them to be too bright.

switch isnt much trouble; and the LED's arent that bright...enough to light up a bottle if you've got one in there though.i can do my best to find a switch that fits in the coin holder in the center console, or we can just drill for one and hide it...if you'd want anything special, like a battleswitch or a light up one, i might have to charge a lil since the cost is kinda high on them...silverhawk, did you want a switch to the DRL cut or did you just want to snip the wire?so i got two sets of red LED's and one DRL cut? is that going to be all, or are there any other people that want anything?
