how to check amp for blown fuse(s)

Post by vanman1 »

Changed my cd player with another factory unit. still no sound. Changed fuses at firewall for amp and for gauges fuse underneath dash. still no sound. Can you advise how to remove amp under the seat? how/where do you check the amp's fuses? I could pay someone but I want to learn how my Vibe works . Thanks to all responders. Dave

Amplifier has NO fuses, breakers, or other resettable devices on it. Removing it won't help you.I would recommend a dealer visit at this point...might be a wiring issue...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Almost sounds like it could be one of those stereos that need to be interfaced with the engines computer. Does the Radio itself give any messages or codes??

isn't the fuse labeled "cig" the radio fuse? Check that ifyou are getting no absolute power.
