I just wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself,My name is Diane (everybody now "Hi Diane!")I'd been on the fence for a while, but living in the Boston area and having a job that can require me to go in at 2AM no matter what the weather, the AWD was a requirement.I'd had my eyes on an AWD Vibe since late fall, and my thought was that last handful of 2006 AWD units was going to sell after we start getting snow, and the delayed snow season has helped them stay around.I'm still trying to figure out all the various vibe'centric things I need to know. I came from a 4WD Chevy Tracker convertible, and I had forgotten how nice a car was to drive.Would I have preferred a 2007 with the new warranty? of course.. but no AWD!Now i'm just enjoying the new car smell as I get used to it.Diane

WELCOME Diane! You will love having the AWD. I got to test out my AWD the other day on my 06. Just for fun I started doing donuts in the parking lot at work to see how the car handled and how hard I could push it... I was quite impressed to say the least. And as others will say.... I was hunting online before I got the vibe to see what kind of online "unofficial presence" was around, and genvibe popped up several times. An online community is important to me, simply because there are things only people that have a car for a few years know it does, like "oh yeah, the 2 year old thump in the rear right corner when you turn left.. we all get that" etc.thanks for all the warm welcomes, I'll see about taking a few pix when it's a little nicer out (or that 7 feet of snow we haven't gotten in Boston yet)Diane
